Hackers are using YouTube to distribute Penny Wise crypto malware

 Hackers are now using YouTube to spread a new type of malware that steals data from crypto currency wallets, as well as crypto browser extensions. Learn about Penny Wise crypto currency malware New malware is an “emerging threat” called Penny Wise and can gain access to 30 different applications, such as wallets and browser extensions.  Russia is planning to launch a digital currency that will be used by the banks in the country. The Bank of Russia has continued working towards the launch of a central bank digital currency (CBDC), which they plan to roll out over the next few years. Crypto fraud charges: Former Coinbase manager charged with insider trading

 The U.S. Department of Justice has released a statement explaining its decision to charge Ishan Wahi, Coinbase’s former product manager, with wire fraud conspiracy and wire fraud in connection with a scheme to commit insider trading. This follows the FBI arresting a former OpenSea employee on charges of insider trading two months ago. The DOJ is charging two Indian nationals in connection with an insider trading scheme.  Recently, Facebook is testing the use of Ethereum and Polygon NFTs with a few participants based in the United States.
